Windows Vista helps expedite your folders search by showing up search results while you are still typing inside the search box.
Such feature can be easily enabled inside Windows Vista by following those simple steps:
1. Open any folder where you want to expedite your search. You can test on any folder with a lot of content
2. Now from the folder top menu, select (Organize > Folder and Search options) then click on the ‘View’ Tab
3. Under Advanced Settings, scroll down until you reach ‘When typing into list view’, select ‘Automatically type into the Search Box’ then finally click on the OK button
4. From your folder search box on the top right corner, type any file or program name and you shall see it appearing (if it exist) in the search results window while you are typing
